WHY KUJAWSKO-POMORSKIE?

Kujawsko-Pomorskie is the region located in the heart of Poland, at the intersection of the main North-South and East-West transport routes, with an easy access to

  • Baltic sea ports (in the North)
  • The Polish industrial center Łódź city (in the South)
  • Capital city Warsaw (Southern-Eastern direction)
  • Mazury - one of the largest lakesides in Europe (Northern-Eastern direction)
  • Poznań city – a leading Polish center of business and trade (in the West)

This central location is highly attractive to all types of investors, as it guarantees fast, direct connection to both domestic and foreign markets.

Our regional authorities place considerable weight on the economic sector. A substantial part of European funds is spent in order to re-establish the regional economic growth conditions. We actively promote and assist sustainable development of leading-edge, innovative enterprises.

We provide 9 modern industrial areas: Bydgoszcz Industrial and Technological Park, Grudziądz Industrial Park, Torun Technology Park, Solec Kujawski Technology Park, Vistula-Park Swiecie, Vistula Park II, Wloclawek Economic Development Zone, Nadnotecki Industrial Park in Paterek, Pluznicki Investment Park.

BPO (Business Processing Outsourcing) is the region’s most dynamically developing sector. It has been identified, in the recent strategy for regional development, as the most promising market with approximately 8 000 employees in Bydgoszcz and over a 1 000 in Torun.

The key transeuropean network TEN_T routes intersect in Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship. We are located at the Baltic-Adriatic pan-European Corridor which connects Scandinavia with the south of Europe (Gdansk- Torun- Warsaw- Katowice- Žilina- Brno-Bratislava-Vienna- Graz- Klagenfurt- Trieste-Venice-Bologna).

Our widespread transport infrastructure network runs across the region. A1 highway connects Scandinavia, Gdansk and Torun with the south of Europe. Country roads such as DK10  lead to  Szczecin and Warsaw, through Bydgoszcz and Torun. DK15 goes from Poznań to Warmia and Mazury through Torun. DK5, which will get integrated into newly constructed S5 road, leads to Poznan and Wroclaw from Gdansk through Bydgoszcz.

“As the Formeleon Ltd (formerly Formit Ltd.), with 20 years of experience and part of the Rychiger AG group based in Switzerland, offering products and services of the highest world quality and precision through the use of the latest technologies, we decided to locate our investment in the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone in 2018. The cooperation with the Marshal's Office, especially the Investor Assistance Center operating within the structure of the Kujawko-Pomorskie Marshal’s Office, as well as the City Hall in Grudziądz fully met our expectations. Professionalism, excellent contact and advice allowed for the efficient and quick implementation of the project at its every stage. Moreover, friendly cooperation with local authorities improved all phases of the investment.

An unquestionable advantage of this region is the excellent, pro-investment approach of local authorities, providing investors with full support at every stage of the investment. As a logistics operator for deep-frozen products, we decided  in 2001 to locate our first investment in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region due to its strategic location.
Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region is located at the crossroads of important communication routes. This facilitates access to other regions of Poland and neighbouring countries. This is especially important for us as our company is specializing in distribution, transport and storage of frozen products, as well as in the dry, fresh and liquid categories for food products. We also provide international sea, air and rail freight services, and the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region  has a well-developed road, rail and air infrastructure, which facilitates logistics and distribution of goods.
